With less than two decades on the horse back, Olivier Philippaerts is yet one of the circuit’s biggest talents. No surprise either, as his father is Ludo Philippaerts, one of the world’s best riders. He appears really under the spotlights after winning the Spruce Meadows Grand Prix in Calgary, Canada, in 2012 becoming the youngest rider to clinch this competition. After shinning in the Junior tournaments and performing during the FEI Nation’s Cup in Lummen, Rome and Aachen, this result was not a big shock as wasn’t his selection as reserve rider for the Olympic Games in London 2012. The same year he was named Flemish Equestrian League Talent of the Year. Although hugely successful, Oliver has a long list of things he wants to achieve, as for example to compete in the Olympic Games.
