It's a fact, in most case, passion is passed on through genes. Pieter Devos is no exception, as his parents were both riders. Since his first riding lesson at age 6, he has proven over the years that he is indeed a talented and respected rider. His attitude: never quit, persevere and act consistently and respectfully. He grew up with these values and recognized them in Dirk Demeersman, his inseparable trainer and rock in competition since he started as a rider. Pieter operates out of Devos Stables in Bekkevoort (Belgium), where he trains, breeds and sells horses with his brother on the land of the Devos Group export company, the family business. Since 2006, his performances have not gone unnoticed. Ranked in many prestigious shows with horses like Tekila, Riviera, or Candy, he keeps improving and eventually made a name by winning one of the biggest and prestigious Grand Prix: Spruce Meadows. A historic victory that changed his career. Since then, he continues to progress at the top level, winning for example the first edition of the LGCT Grand Prix of Shangai in 2014. He was also part of the team that won the victory at the Nations Cup in Aachen and was chosen to represent Belgium at the World Equestrian Games in Caen all during that year. Pieter has become one of the rider you can count in major events, and he has still a long road of successes ahead of him.
