This young rider has a style reminiscent of Franke Sloothaak, his first top level coach, who dominated world equestrianism in the 80s and 90s (World Champion 1994). Daniel spent time at Jan Tops’ stables before becoming number one rider at the Stephex stables in Belgium, with Stephan Conter, one of the world’s best-known horse traders who spotted Hickstead, Eric Lamaze’s famous mount with which he became Olympic Champion in 2008. Runner-up in the world cup final in Las Vegas in 2007, Daniel Deusser claimed the title seven years later, in April 2014, becoming the tenth German to win this indoor World Championship. Currently rebuilding all his horse team, he keeps getting results in the best five stars level's competitions, like his victory in the Grand Prix Land Rover of Bordeaux (2015) and his two second places in the Grand Prix of Aachen and Rotterdam, and is still a true value for the German team. Proof of the strength he brings to the team, the recent team silver medal won during the European Championships of Aachen in 2015.
