Harrie Smolders is an up and coming rider who had two loves: horses and football. Shortly after finishing school Harrie went to work for former European Champion Johan Heins where he learnt the skill of training young and talented horses. One of those horses was Authentic which was sold to American rider Beezie Madden and was her Olympic gold winning mount in 2004 and 2008. These last few years, Harrie came back on the front of the scene with his three fantastic horses: Regina Z, Don Vhp Z and Emerald.

* Individual silver medallist at the Young Horses World Championship of Lanaken 2010 (Emerald, 6 years)

* 2nd at the Grand Prix of Lummen 2015 (Emerald)
