Hard worker, tenacious and talented, Simon Delestre is a regular feature at the top competitions around the world. Frequently selected for the French team, he can call on exceptional horses such as Napoli du Ry and Qlassic Bois Margot. In 2011, he racked up a string of impressive performances on the CSI5* circuit. Qualified for his first Olympics in 2012 with Napoli du Ry, the French is unlucky. After a clear round, his right rein breaks on the last before the first team event. He finished with six penalty points. Since, luck came back. In 2013, he won the Grand Prix CSI5*-W Bordeaux, ended 3rd with the French team at the Nations Cup in Rome with Qlassic Bois Margot and won, with the same horse, the Gold medal by team in the final of the prestigious Circuit Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup in Barcelona. In 2014, he was selected for the WEG in his home country where he won team Silver. But it's really in 2015, associated to Hermès Ryan, this true atypical horse, that his career knows a turning point. Sucesses after successes, the pair reached the culmination with their individual bronze medal at the European Championship of Aachen in the summer of the same year. Since then, Simon Delestre has won the World Cup Grand Prix in Verona, and above all, the Gucci Gold Cup at the Longines Masters of Paris in December and made his firsts steps in the world top 10 ranks. Simon made a really impressive season in 2016, associated to Hermès Ryan, he took the 2nd position in the FEI World Cup Grand Prix in Bordeaux, and also in the Longines Global Champions Tour of Paris and won the ShangaÏ Grand Prix. On the podium almost every weekend, he took the lead of the FEI Ranking List from March to June thanks to Hermès Ryan, Qlassic Bois Margot and Chesall Zimequest. Qualified for the Olympics in Rio, Simon Delestre had to forfeit due to an injury of his horse Ryan, few days before the beginning of the competition. Since then, he bounced back by winning the Grand Prix 4* in Valence.
