Alberto was born into an equestrian family and began riding aged five. He has always had a career alongside horse riding, having graduated in international business and working in the textile industry for several years.
In 2011, the then 33 year-old turned professional and set up home in Europe. From 2008 to January 2016, his partnership with Alfonso Roma of La Silla (La Silla Breeding) has been a fruitful one. He came fifth at the London Olympics in 2012 on Rosalia La Silla, in a tie with none other than Nick Skelton and Scott Brash!
Past January, he has relocated to Wellington, Florida to partner with Ilan Ferder Stables.
