Enrique Gonzalez has made a name for himself as one of Mexico’s leading riders with numerous grand prix wins to his credit. Widely known in the equestrian world as “La Pajara”, translated as “the Bird” in English, Enrique co-founded  in 1987 the La Puerta Equestrian Club, Mexico's first high performance riding club, in Guadalajara. He then moved to Mexico City and formed the Santa Clara Show Jumpers club. Enrique became the first Mexican rider to garner a sponsorship from a commercial brand (Comcel) in 1992. In 2008, Enrique represented Mexico at the Olympic Games in Beijing and was a member of the bronze medal winning team at the 2011 Pan American Games in his home country. In 2014, he represented Mexico at the 2014 Alltech World Equestrian Games in Normandy, France. In January 2014, he co created E2Stables with Eduardo Menezes.
