L'Art au Longines Masters de Hong Kong 2016
04 février 2016 Hong Kong
The Longines Masters of Hong Kong is more than a world-class show jumping event.
Beyond the confines of the competition arena at AsiaWorld-Expo, the Prestige Village presents a dynamic hub of gastronomy, wine, live entertainment and music, luxury lifestyle, and exquisite art.

Lovers of fine art will once again be treated to stunning exhibitions.

For the third year running, Opera Gallery, one of the leading dealers in modern and contemporary American, European and Asian art, is proud to be Art Partner of the Longines Masters of Hong Kong, and will be presenting magnificent contemporary and equestrian works of art.

The collection includes a black and white 2-metre installation made of tires and resins by Korean artist Ji Yong Ho, eye catching and satiric photography by French artist Gerard Rancinan and a life-size hyper-realistic sculpture of a cleaning maid, made of polyester resin and oil paint, alongside beautiful artworks by Andre Brasilier, Valay Shende and Liu Dao.

After having his famous Red Horse for three years in the Longines Masters of Hong Kong, sculptor Richard Orlinski will exhibit for the first time much more of his internationally renowned work. Conceived around the concept “Born Wild” in a style using contemporary materials, Orlinski’s pieces are exhibited both at FIAC, on the slopes of Courchevel and in 90 galleries worldwide.
He is now ranked in the Top 10 best selling French artists of the world.

Returning to the Longines Masters of Hong Kong, Frédéric Jager pieces of art will also be on display throughout the Prestige Village.

At just 28 years old, Frédéric Jager was entrusted with a public commission to produce a fountain dedicated to “the Glory of the Horse”, at the world famous Chateau de Chantilly, in France. Other commissions for life-size bronzes soon followed, including from highly respected fashion houses such as Hermès and Nina Ricci.

Celebrating the beauty and power of horses, and the creative interpretation by major contemporary artists, this year art selection will be for sure justly admired and respected by the people of Hong Kong.
